Amish Oatmeal Pie

An Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Pie that is similar in taste and texture to a Pecan Pie but completely nut free!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 2/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup uncooked oatmeal any kind
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs in a medium sized mixing bowl until completely blended.

  2. Combine all other ingredients in the mixing bowl with the eggs and stir well.

  3. Pour the mixture into a frozen deep dish pie crust.

  4. Place a pie crust saver (or strips of foil) over the edge of the pie crust to prevent burning.

  5. Place in the oven and bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes or until cooked through.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
