Easy Slow Cooker Marinara

  • 2 28oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 28oz can whole stewed tomatoes
  • 5 fresh parsley leaves & stems chopped very fine
  • 1 tsp organic raw honey
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 heaping tbsp dried basil flakes or 3 fresh leaves chopped very fine
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning


  1. Blend each can of crushed tomatoes for 7 seconds and pour into a 4qt or larger slow cooker.

    2. Chop whole stewed tomatoes and add in along with the juice and all other seasonings.

    3. Stir well and cover.

    4. Cook on low 4 hours or high 2 hours.

    5. Use in anything you would use marinara sauce or spaghetti sauce for and enjoy! 

Recipe Notes

Honey can be replaced with Stevia or Spelnda.

This marinara can be cooked in the microwave until heated through or simmered on the stove top until hot, however, the slow cooker will allow the flavors to become more vibrant as it cooks more slowly. 

Any dried seasoning can be replaced for fresh chopped/minced seasonings.

Will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week and can be frozen for up to 6 months.
