Low Carb Sheet Pan Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground hamburger
  • 1 mozzarella cheese stick cut into three pieces
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp All purpose BBQ Dry Rub I used Head Country
  • 1 large crown of broccoli cut into florets

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. 

  2. Wash the head of broccoli and cut the bottom stem off, then cut the individual pieces of broccoli into florets with short stems. Place the broccoli on one end of the sheet pan.

  3. Place the ground hamburger, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper into a medium sized mixing bowl and stir until well combined.

  4. Slice the mozzarella cheese stick into three pieces and scoop out 1/3 of the meat mixture into your hand and flatten it out, placing the cheese stick in the center.

  5. Form the meat around the cheese stick making sure that the cheese stick is completely covered and the meat is formed into a ball.

  6. Place the meat patty on the opposite side of the sheet pan that the broccoli is on and repeat the process with the other two patties and cheese sticks.

  7. Place the sheet pan in the oven and allow to cook for about 8 minutes before removing from the oven.

  8. Turn the broccoli over on the pan and tilt the pan so that the fat from the burgers runs into the broccoli and flavors it.

  9. Place the sheet pan back into the oven and cook for an additional 8 minutes or until the meat is cooked through and browned.

  10. Remove the pan from the oven and serve with your choice of side items. Enjoy!
