“Happiness is: Peanut Butter Pie!”
(The Speedy Spatula)
Okay, so in case you haven’t picked up on the name of this week’s recipe game, it is All-American themed. Does it get anymore All-American than this Easy Peanut Butter Pie?! In case you’re wondering, that’s a rhetorical question, because we all know there really isn’t anything more American than Peanut Butter.
If you’re a peanut butter lover, I can assure you, this Easy Peanut Butter Pie is worth trying! This is another one of my Granny’s famous recipes and it is absolutely perfect for the summer.
No baking required, just whip the ingredients together and serve immediately or chill in the fridge – it’s the easiest pie you’ll ever make!
Start out by combining 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and 2 tablespoons of milk in a mixing bowl.
Next, add in 8 ounces of thawed Whipped Topping Cool Whip.
Now you just want to add in half of a heaping cup of creamy peanut butter. Any brand will do, guys!
Once you have the cream cheese, milk, Whipped Topping, and peanut butter in the mixing bowl, pull out your electric mixer and whip this on medium speed until all ingredients are well blended and combined.
Once your ingredients are well combined, add in 3/4 cup of Powdered Confectioners Sugar and lightly stir it into the other ingredients.
There will still be some lumps after stirring, so whip the powdered sugar in with the electric mixer on medium/low speed until well combined and no lumps remain.
Look at how thick and creamy that is! Oh and the taste! I always have a hard time resisting just eating this Easy Peanut Butter Pie filling out of the bowl with a spoon at this point!
Grab your Oreo crust and get your bowl of Peanut Butter Pie filling handy.
Spread the Peanut Butter Pie filling into the Oreo crust until it is spread out evenly and up against the sides of the crust.
Use the tip of your spatula to lightly (very lightly) dip into the Peanut Butter Pie and use a sweeping motion to create the whipped look on top of the Easy Peanut Butter Pie.
Now that you’ve whipped the top of your Easy Peanut Butter Pie, drizzle it with Hershey’s Simply 5 chocolate syrup.
Now isn’t that a pretty sight?! You could leave the pie like this or grab some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and make it even more delectable.
Unwrap 5 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and place on a cutting board.
Slice each Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups into fourths.
Top your Easy Peanut Butter Pie with the chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and dig in!
This is the perfect pie to serve on your Fourth of July table or to take to a Potluck or BBQ.
It’s cold, delicious, and better yet, it only takes minutes to make from start to finish!
As always, thank you for stopping by my kitchen today.
I hope you’ll come back soon!
Have a safe and happy summer!
