Fresh Spinach Artichoke Dip
For as long as I can remember, I have loved Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip, and I just have this feeling that you’re going to love it too!
I’ll never forget the first time I was introduced to this thing called an “artichoke”. I’m pretty sure Granny was the one that first had me try one since she was always getting me to try new fruits and vegetables.
Anyways, I was half scared of it because it had such an odd name and looked a little odd too, but to my surprise, I actually loved the flavor!
Then, when my husband and I were dating, he ordered Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip at Applebee’s (our favorite date-night place).
From that moment on, I was hooked on Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip!
Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip
Now that I’ve discovered I can make this amazing artichoke spinach dip at home for just a fraction of the cost of what you’ll pay at a restaurant, I make it for every party or event we have.
You’re going to love how fast and easy this baked spinach artichoke dip is!
Preheat your oven to 350F.
I started out with one, eight ounce block of cream cheese.
Place the cream cheese in a large, glass mixing bowl.
Easy Spinach Artichoke Dip
After placing the cream cheese in a microwave safe bowl, place it in the microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
You want to completely soften the cream cheese so that it stirs well and smoothly.
Once the cream cheese is softened, use a spatula to smash the cream cheese down and stir it.
Baked Spinach Dip Recipe
After the cream cheese has been softened and stirred until smooth, add in one, 12 ounce bag of frozen, chopped spinach.
You don’t have to worry about thawing the spinach out, it will thaw as it cooks.
Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip
Once the cream cheese and spinach have been added to the large mixing bowl, add in 1/2 cup of mayo.
You can use any kind of mayo you prefer, but it needs to be mayo and not Miracle Whip.
I prefer using Olive Oil mayo but a full fat or low fat version can also be used.
Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip
Now that the cream cheese, spinach, and mayo have been combined in the large mixing bowl, add in 1 1/2 tablespoons of minced garlic.
After adding in the minced garlic, sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder.
Easy Fresh Spinach Artichoke Dip
Almost all of your seasonings for this Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke dip has been added, so go ahead and add in 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.
You can always add a little more or less of these seasonings if you prefer, just customize it to your personal taste.
Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip
The Spinach Dip is just about ready – but wait! Don’t forget the artichokes!
Open a 10.4 ounce can of artichoke hearts and drain all of the water off.
Once the water is drained from the artichoke hearts, place them in a small mixing bowl and use a biscuit cutter (like I did) or a meat muddler to chop them into smaller pieces.
If you don’t have a biscuit cutter or meat muddler to use, you can always chop them with a knife.
Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Add the chopped artichoke hearts to the mixing bowl with the spinach, cream cheese, mayo, and other seasonings.
If you don’t like artichokes, you can always omit them from this recipe, however, I feel like they really make this Hot Spinach Dip really great!
Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip
Now that all of your ingredients have been added to this Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke dip, give everything a good stir.
Be sure when you stir everything in that you scrape the bottom of the bowl and make sure all of the softened cream cheese is well combined with the other ingredients.
Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip
Time to add in two ingredients that really make this spinach artichoke dip – the cheese!
I like to add in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 1 cup of shredded Italian blend cheese.
If you can’t find Italian Blend cheese in your local grocery store, you can use 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese.
Easy Cheesy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip
Use an 8×8 oval casserole dish or a round casserole dish and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
You could even use an 8×8 cake pan to bake this artichoke dip in if you don’t have a casserole dish the correct size.

Spoon all of the Spinach Artichoke Dip into the casserole dish.
I hope you preheated your oven at 350F when you started prepping this hot spinach artichoke dip, but if not, go ahead and fire the oven up now.
Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Smooth the Spinach Artichoke Dip into the casserole bowl and use your spatula to make it even on top.
You can top this spinach artichoke dip with an additional cup of shredded mozzarella or Italian Blend cheese to make it extra cheesy if you like.
The Best Spinach Artichoke Dip
Bake your Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip on 350F for 15 minutes or until the spinach artichoke dip is heated completely through and the cheese is melted.
Depending on how your oven cooks, you may need to adjust the cook time to be longer or shorter.
You may also need to adjust the cooking temperature to be slightly hotter or cooler depending on how fast and hot your oven cooks.

Now that your Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip is ready to eat, grab some tortilla chips and dig in while it’s still hot!

Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip
This Easy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip is a restaurant style spinach dip, prepped easy and baked in the oven. Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip is perfect for parties; foot ball tailgating parties, Halloween, and Christmas parties.
- 12 oz frozen chopped spinach
- 10.4 oz canned whole artichoke hearts drained
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded Italian Blend cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 1/2 tbsp fresh minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Preheat oven at 350F.
Drain the artichoke hearts, then pour into a small mixing bowl and chop into smaller pieces with a biscuit cutter or a meat muddler (or use a knife to chop into smaller pieces).
Place the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and heat in the microwave until completely softened.
Use a spatula to stir it until it is smooth and creamy, then add in all other remaining ingredients.
Stir until well combined, then spray an 8x8 round, oval, or square casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread the dip mixture out evenly into the pan, smoothing to make it even, then place in the oven and bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until it is completely heated through and the cheese is completely melted.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
