Ya can’t just be slathering any ole’ sauce on your chicken or anything else! But, I digress.

Here you’ll see that I’m using Head Country Bar-B-Q Original sauce and Head Country Sweet & Spicy seasoning. My family and I love Head Country Bar-B-Q, I grew up eating this brand and still love it as an adult.
First off, start by placing your chicken in a 3 quart or larger slow cooker. The slow cooker I’m using is a 4 quart. If you want to get real fancy and save yourself on clean up time, slip a slow cooker liner into your slow cooker insert before adding the chicken. These things work wonders and save loads of time on clean up! I but these PanSaver Slow Cooker Liners and I have found them to be the best out of all the brands I use.
Once the chicken is in the slow cooker, go ahead and add the magic elixir of this recipe, the fabulous award winning, Head Country Sweet & Spicy Seasoning.
Now that we’ve added that awesome secret ingredient that makes this recipe so good, let’s add in the less exciting but totally necessary ingredient: water.
Okay so now that you have the seasoning and the water, it’s time to really ramp up your Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Chicken game and add in the bar-b-q sauce! Definitely don’t want to leave the sauce out of this recipe because it’s pretty important too, ya know!
I know this Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Chicken is so easy you almost can’t even call it a recipe, but believe me, it is GOOD. Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best! They’re certainly my favorite! Place the lid on your slow cooker and cook this on high for six hours or low four hours. As you can see, I had two large and frozen chicken breasts but if your chicken breasts are smaller or thawed, reduce the cook time on both settings by 1 1/2 hours.
Once the chicken is cooked and your house smells fabulous from the savory blends of bar-b-q sauce and seasoning, remove the chicken and shred between two forks. This Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Chicken will be so tender it will literally fall apart.
Sunday we ate this bar-b-q chicken in baked potatoes with shredded cheese and ranch dressing drizzled on top. It was drool worthy!
Does it get any better than some delicious, shredded, Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Chicken? I think not! Hope you all enjoy this simple and tasty recipe as much as we did!
