Christmas time is around the corner (how did that happen already?!) so I wanted to share my Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide 2017 with you all. This is basically the perfect gift guide for anyone in your life that loves to cook, loves to eat, loves being in the kitchen, or even for someone who hates to cook and needs to learn! haha! Just don’t send this to your daughter in law with a note saying something like “I know you hate to cook so I wanted you to read this guide and pick something that will make you love being in the kitchen.” You probably won’t be winning any brownie points with the daughter in law if you do something like that. Just saying. You may actually get brownies out of the deal though…only they will be Ex-lax laced brownies.
Anyways, all joking aside, these items that I’m sharing with you all today in this Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide 2017 are items that I have personally and use in my own kitchen on a daily or weekly basis and I can attest to their usefulness.
The links below are Amazon affiliate links and I will receive a small percentage if you choose to purchase any of these items. I am always delighted to share products that I use and love with you all! Each one of these items has been handpicked by me and used in my own kitchen.
I hope you find this Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide 2017 useful and informative. Happy shopping, friends!
It shouldn’t come as any surprise that the first item on my Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide 2017 is this 6qt Programmable Crockpot Slow Cooker this is the Crockpot Slow Cooker that I have and use the most because the oval shape allows me to cook large cuts of meat such as whole chickens, ribs, and roasts, while the handles on the side lend to easy carrying and the lid locks for easy transport. The programmable feature allows me to choose how long I want the food to cook and then automatically goes to the “warm” setting when that cooking cycle is over to ensure that my food doesn’t burn.
Item number two is this 6qt 7-in-1 Instant Pot DUO this is the Instant Pot that I own and love. For those of you who may not be familiar with the Instant Pot, it is an electric pressure cooker that (in the case of this model) is a rice maker, steamer, slow cooker, pressure cooker, yogurt maker, and basically anything maker. This machine does it all except clean itself and it’s a great appliance to have if you want to eliminate other appliances such as a rice maker or yogurt maker. It’s also a great thing to have in your arsenal if you tend to need dinner on the table quickly. I have cooked two frozen chicken breasts in the Instant Pot in just thirty minutes so that’s pretty awesome.
If you have a smoothie lover in your life, you should give this Ninja Professional Blender a try. This is the blender I use and love for smoothies and it always blends large pieces of frozen fruit and ice cubes to perfection. It’s easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and easy to operate. For someone like myself who doesn’t like complicated kitchen gadgets, this is the perfect blender! The Ninja Professional Blender’s are a little pricey though so if you want a blender that’s smaller but still does a good job, check out item number four.
If you’re looking for a blender that will blend personal sized smoothies, baby food, salsa, or any other items that aren’t too large or hard (no large pieces of frozen fruit or ice cubes) try out this Hamilton Beach Personal Blender . I have already went through two of these blenders and I absolutely love them.
For all the little blending jobs in your life, try this Betty Crocker Immersion Blender . I use this all the time to blend soups or different things that need blending (such as coffee, protein shakes, etc) and it has never disappointed me!
The fifth item I absolutely had to share with you all are these Stainless Steel Herb Scissors . I received these last year for Christmas in my stocking and I couldn’t have received a better stocking stuffer. At only $9.99 these scissors have saved my life in the kitchen. As you know, I use a lot of fresh herbs in my recipes such as cilantro, basil, and parsley. These scissors make herb snipping a dream. They’re also extremely easy to clean! No more lengthy chopping sessions and cut fingers. These herbs scissors are here to rescue you!
Okay ya’ll, I’m about to get real Southern on you for item number six. You know my beloved Lodge Cast Iron Skillet had to make it on this list. While cast iron can be intimidating to some, I have grown to love my cast iron immensely. The old timers always said that everything tastes better when cooked in cast iron and I have found that to be true! The skillet I have linked you to is the size I use the most and let me just add, that is a GREAT price too!
While we’re on the subject of Lodge cast iron, I had to link you to this Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven which is my new kitchen obsession. I honestly don’t know how I survived all of these years without one of these dutch ovens! The enamel makes this little gem a breeze to clean and the cast iron holds heat in very well. I opted for the Lodge brand over different, more expensive brands because all of my cast iron kitchen products are made by Lodge and they all hold up very well.
So let’s talk a minute about item number eight, Okay? If you don’t have a Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven then you desperately need one. I mean desperately. I use my toaster oven every single day and it really saves my burning hide in the summer when I want to bake a casserole or cook some biscuits without heating the entire house up. Total lifesaver right here ya’ll, and worth every single penny!
If you ever do any entertaining, you need this Triple Buffet Slow Cooker . This particular model is slightly larger and fancier than the one I use all of the time so it’s even that much more amazing. I’m pretty sure that last phrase isn’t even a correct sentence structure but I’m too excited about this sweet thing to even care.
This next item is one I purchased last year on Amazon’s Cyber Monday deals and this Vegetable Spiralizer has quickly become a favorite of ours! Several of my recipes feature noodles made from zucchini and yellow squash and this little gem is the reason! I especially love this over the summer when squash is plentiful around Central Arkansas. It’s a great way to use up some veggies while cutting carbs from your meal. Perfect for my fellow Weight Watcher friends out there or for anyone looking to eat a little healthier.
Another item I purchased last year during Amazon’s Cyber Monday frenzy was this set of Cuisinart Knife Set . While there are fancier and probably higher quality kitchen knives to be had, I have found these to be great, budget friendly knives for the everyday home cook. You will probably need to sharpen them once you get them if you want a set of really sharp knives, but that’s not too hard to do.
For non-stick skillets, I always use and recommend T-fal Professional Nonstick Skillet I have these skillets in various sizes and have used them for years. This is a great, budget friendly brand that can be found in almost any store that carries skillets. I would recommend that you hand wash them so that the nonstick coating keeps doing it’s job because I can tell you from personal experience, if you use these in the dishwasher, they will lost their ability to be non sticking.
For the baker in your life, I really can’t say enough good things about this Air Bake Nonstick Cookie Sheet . I have used the Air Bake brand for years and absolutely love their products. My mom lives by Air Bake and has absolutely sold me on this brand over the years. My cookies always turn out perfectly on this cookie sheet and I love that it’s big enough to get several dozen cookies on it. The more the merrier! I won’t link all of my favorite Air Bake products here, but suffice it to say, you can’t go wrong with Air Bake.
I couldn’t make a Kitchen Gift Guide 2017 without adding a few fun gifts for the cook in your life. How cute is this Mrs Claus Christmas Apron ! I seriously love a cute apron and it doesn’t get much cuter than this one! Every cook needs a cute apron or three. Especially if you’re like me and you make huge messes in the kitchen (all over the counters and yourself! haha!) This item is also on my Christmas wish list so in case my husband reads this, Babe, I would LOVE to find this cutie in my stocking this year! *wink, wink*.
I’ll be honest with you here, I don’t own one of these sweet Stainless Steel Bamboo Tea Infusers but it’s definitely on my wish list. If you have a tea drinker on your list this year, I can’t see how you could go wrong purchasing this cool tea bottle! It’s functional AND fashionable!
To all of my stop, drop, and chug friends, if you don’t already own an Artic Tumbler do yourself a favor and get one! Go ahead and just buy it for yourself this year. You deserve it. I own a Yeti and an Artic tumbler and while I love both of them, I can’t tell a discernible difference in the two other than the pricing. Wanna guess which is cheaper? This Artic Tumbler is the perfect size to make sure you get all of your water in for the day and it keep ice frozen for FOREVA as well as keeps your beverage cold or hot for an equal amount of time! I have left my ice water in a hot car in the dead of summer for several hours, came back out, and the water was still ice cold.
For an uber cool hot coffee or tea thermos, check out this Stainless Steel Camera Mug that is absolutely one of the most hip thermoses I’ve ever seen. This would make an adorable stocking stuffer for the photog in your life!
Whoever thought of these Dishwasher Magnets was a genius. Honestly, I wish I would’ve thought of this! Take the guess work out of whether or not the dishes are clean or dirty and use these helpful magnets! Another great stocking stuffer!
I couldn’t make a proper Kitchen Gift Guide 2017 without adding a fabulous Marble Cheese Board for the swanky cheese lover in your life. I have this cheese board and it is stunningly gorgeous arrayed with cheese, grapes, nuts, or just whatever you choose to serve on it. It just feels so posh eating off of marble, ya know what I mean?
I hope this Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide 2017 has been helpful for you and that you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas season! Merry Christmas, friends!
